Stefan Savic is a partner at Shipkevich PLLC. He represents clients in all stages of litigation and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Stefan’s litigation practice focuses on commercial litigation in federal and state courts in various subject matters ranging from civil RICO claims to misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, and breaches of fiduciary duties.
While Stefan’s work focuses heavily on civil litigation, he also assists businesses in avoiding costly litigation by assuring that clients have safeguards in place at all stages of business management. Stefan works with clients on formation, employment, shareholders, and licensing agreements, using his litigation experience to draft clauses that will account for worst-case scenarios and save his clients any potential headaches in the long term.
Stefan’s past experience includes working at the United Nations Development Programme, United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, one of Connecticut’s largest law firms, and a Fortune 500 company’s legal department. Stefan is also a certified mediator in the state of Connecticut.
Stefan is a native of Belgrade, Serbia. He graduated from Columbia University with a degree in political science and received his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law with high honors. While at Columbia, Stefan competed in two varsity sports: football and heavyweight crew. He remains involved with the athletics department, serving as a mentor to student-athletes. Stefan also volunteers with the Justice Resources Center as a coach for the Midwood High School mock trial team.

▸ Successfully obtained class certification for two separate classes in a nation-wide class action alleging common law fraud.
▸ Obtained dismissal of claims pursuant to Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act while representing a national company, its directors, and agents.
▸ Obtained favorable settlement for an art collector in a case involving conversion of paintings and breach of fiduciary duties by a New York gallery, notwithstanding the large number of creditors and scarce funds.
