Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sand assisted the Investor Protection Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General with enforcement actions involving residential mortgage-backed securities, indenture trustees, and insurance price fixing.
Mr. Sand is a graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law, where he was the research editor of the Hofstra Law Review, and where he received an award for excellence in corporate and securities law.

At the New York County Lawyers’ Association’s (NYCLA) Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 24, Mr. Shipkevich was named to the Board of Directors of the New York County Lawyers’ Association. Mr. Shipkevich previously chaired NYCLA’s Futures and Derivatives Committee.
